Rotary Youth Exchange - Michael Barker
Interested students may now begin applying for next year's outbound program, below are dates for major events.
The most important upcoming event is that our club must provide information on any student that we wish to sponsor to district leadership by October 5th. That means that interested students need to get us their preliminary applications no later than September 28th so we can have an opportunity to speak with the student and review the applications.
Our club can send multiple applications to district but we are responsible for interviewing each candidate and deciding whether they would be a competitive candidate for the program.

**Related documents are now on our website. If you login and select the drop down menu under "About Us" and then "Private Documents," you will find a file named "Rotary Youth Exchange" with updated information and the short application.**
Any questions please let me know.

Support Semilla Nueva & One Day's Wages
Semilla Nueva has been selected by One Day's Wages to receive a matching grant to promote their work in Guatemala. "We are so excited to launch our 99th project! We are partnering with Semilla Nueva to empower families in Guatemala through sustainable farming practices. This partnership will increase food security, provide an additional income for the families, and improve the quality of the soil and local environment. "

Please consider making a donation to help Semilla Nueva reach their goal of $15,000 to meet their matching grant.

Also, please Save the Date for their Annual Planting the Future Celebration to be held at the Zion's Bank Building on Wednesday, November 30th from 6-8pm.
