Land Surveying In Idaho

Kerry works with Accurate Surveying and Mapping, a very successful local surveying firm.  Kerry was born and raised in McCall, became a Surveyor in the Navy Seabees, returning back to his home state in 2007.  Please join us this morning, we will be hearing about the interesting history of surveying in Idaho and how his industry is adapting to the changes here in the Treasure Valley.

Project Amigo

Gary Multanen is the most enthusiastic person I have ever met, I am not kidding!  You must make this meeting to hear him tell you about Project Amigo.  Gary has been involved in this project for almost as long as he has been a Rotarian, over 20 years.  He will tell you how the project got started, it's ups and downs and all the great things that have been accomplished.  In addition he will help everyone become familiar with how to signup and attend a special fundraiser for Project Amigo, held at the Yanke Motor Museum on April 27th.

Legacy Corps for Veterans

Melissa Radloff has been with the Jannis Group, the people that oversee Legacy Corps, for over 6 years.  Please come and learn about the unique problems which plague Veterans and Military families and how the Legacy Corps helps provide support to help overcome these unpleasant issues.  Learn how highly trained, vetted an committed volunteers provide companionship respite, caregiver education and networking opportunities to this distinct population.

Idaho Search & Rescue - Wilderness Safety

Ken Swikard has spent decades with Idaho Search and Rescue, this volunteer organization uses his years of knowledge as a presenter to local civic groups.  With Spring in the air, the word they want to spread is Wilderness Safety.  Our members may recall Dan Sovel, President of Hayden Beverage, about a year ago he presented to us his activities with Idaho Search and Rescue, as a Man Hunter.  Ken's talks will hopefully keep Dan less busy this coming summer!

Update - Greenbelt Project

Jon has been the lead person on the Rotary Park on the Greenbelt Project.  This is a joint venture between Boise Metro, Eagle/Garden City, and the Centennial Rotary Clubs.  The park will include four park benches, bike repair stand, dog waste bag dispenser, little free library and interpretive signs.  Please attend our meeting, on this second Thursday in May, to learn what needs to be done in putting the finishing touches on this great concept.

Brooke Green, MBA, PCED is the Senior Transportation Planner for the Ada County Highway District.  This is a great time of the year to begin thinking about enjoying the outdoors, great time to learn more about the 7 million dollar annual budget for pedestrian and bicycle projects in our county too.  Please come and learn more about how different planning initiatives our prioritized.
