Boise Centennial wins Humanity in Motion Award for 2015-2016

District 5400 Conference in Sun Valley

May brought our annual District 5400 Rotary Conference held in Sun Valley. It was 2 days of learning, fellowship and celebrating all that is Rotary. Five club members made the journey to Sun Valley to represent Boise Centennial Rotary. The highlight of the weekend was being awarded a 2015-2016 Distinguished Club Award of which there were only 4 awarded for 43 clubs in our district. On top of that, Boise Centennial Rotary was named as recipient for the Humanity In Motion Award. We are proud to be recognized by the district for doing what we enjoy and reinforces us upholding our motto of "Service Above Self."

Reese drew the joker last week and is winner of half the accumulated prize pot. The other half will do donated to our charity of the month, the Picnic In The Park program run by the Idaho Foodbank. Now you can finally pay for that wedding Reese!

Save the Date - Volunteering at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival

We have a date to volunteer at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival! Put Sunday, September 18th on your calendar. We will be helping at a performance of "Forever Plaid." More details to come.

Monthly Drive - Idaho Foodbank's Picnic in the Park!

During the school year many children rely on free and reduced-price breakfasts and lunches provided by the school Breakfast and National School Lunches Program. But what happens when school is out? The Idaho Foodbank's Picnic in the Park Program provides nutritious lunches for food-insecure children during the summer months when the school lunches they depend on are unavailable.

We will be collecting cash to pass on as there is not a list of helpful items. Thank you for your continued generosity!
