Boise Centennial Rotary for August 18, 2016
BCR International Giving!
By overwhelming vote, Boise Centennial Rotary has decided to support The Shoe That Grows and Semilla Nueva. We had designated $2000 and will invite both organizations to attend a meeting to receive their donation. Thank you Joye and Michela for putting together our nominees and educating us about their efforts.

BYP CE Team SepTimber Challenge

The BYP Community Engagement Team is on a mission. We've built for Habitat, we're represented on its board, and now we want to help support their vision. If we can be the amongst the first 7 fundraisers to get $1,000 before September 23rd, the chair of the CE team (Michela) will take the plunge from the 19th story of the US Bank Building.

From Michela - I'd like to pretend to be terrified in an effort to raise more funds (for some reason people like donating in this circumstance. Case in point: When I thought I was going to die during the Polar Bear Plunge for Make a Wish Idaho, I raised 10 times as much money compared to other fundraisers), but I'm actually kind of pumped. I've never done anything like this before though, so who knows what kind of vulgarities and pleading will actually happen in the moment. I guess there's only one way to find out - Donate! Whether it's $1, $20 or $500, every bit gets us closer to our goal, and another house for families in need.

If you'd like a donation jar to put at your place of work, email michela@synapsecreations.com.
