Food For Thought Snack Backpack Drive

For many local children, school provides two reliable meals each day. When Christmas break begins, those meals disappear.
Food For Thought, a local Idaho 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is working to bridge that gap. Our recent student survey revealed that hundreds of Treasure Valley children are requesting additional food over the holidays.
This year, Boise Centennial Rotary has an opportunity to help through Food For Thought's Snack Backpack Project!
Each backpack contains 29 individually packaged, kid-friendly snacks to help children facing food insecurity during school break.
Our Rotary Challenge by November 30th:

$15 fills one snack backpack.

200 backpacks is our goal.

$2,500 is our fundraising target.
Whether we fill 100, 150, or 200 backpacks, every donation makes a difference!
We will have the opportunity to shop for the snacks, fill the backpacks and deliver to Food for Thought. Backpacks will be filled at Jenny's home on Saturday the 5th from 10am to noon. If you would like to help please join us, all ages welcome!
