We’re celebrating the season with our Fall Harvest Meeting and Halloween Eve Costume Contest! Come dressed in your favorite costume, whether creative, spooky, funny, or downright outrageous, and join the fun as we recognize our costume contest winners.

Special Guest: Isadora Toledo from Brazil

We’ll have the pleasure of welcoming Isadora Toledo, a veterinarian from Brazil participating in Rotary’s New Generations Service Exchange program.

Isadora brings a fascinating background in veterinary medicine, including emergency care, surgery, and animal reproduction. She is currently pursuing advanced training at São Paulo State University.

We’ll have an opportunity to get to know Isadora, hear about her professional journey, and celebrate the international connections that make Rotary so special.

Special Guest: Idaho Fine Arts Charter Interact Club

We’ll also welcome several members of the Interact Club at Idaho Fine Arts Charter School.

The students will spend a few minutes sharing what their club has been working on, the service activities they are involved in, and what they are looking forward to this year.

It’s a great opportunity for our club to hear directly from young leaders in our community and learn more about how Interact is putting Service Above Self into action.

Mike Markley
District Governor for Rotary District 5400 

Mike Markley is the 2026-27 Governor of Rotary District 5400 and a member of the Rotary Club of Boise-Southwest.

Mike grew up in Stanley and Challis, Idaho, and joined Rotary in 2011 after first experiencing its impact through his wife Beth's participation in a Group Study Exchange to Argentina. Rotary has since become a family affair: Mike and Beth have hosted nine Rotary Youth Exchange students and three Group Study Exchange participants, and their two sons participated in Rotary Youth programs (Jack went on exchange; Colin went to camp).

Mike has served Rotary in club, district, regional, and zone leadership roles, with particular experience in youth programs, learning and development, and leadership development.

Professionally, Mike has spent more than 30 years working in technical communication, education, learning and development, and human resources. He periodically teaches at the university level, and he is a co-owner of Simple A, a digital content agency that helps organizations simplify and improve the way they communicate.

As Governor, Mike is focused on Leadership, Service, and Joy—growing leaders, making meaningful service easier to join, and helping create Rotary experiences where people feel welcomed, useful, connected, and inspired.
